Feyre has undergone more trials than one human woman can carry in her heart. Though she’s now been granted the powers and lifespan of the High Fae, she is haunted by her time Under the Mountain and the terrible deeds she performed to save the lives of Tamlin and his people.
As her marriage to Tamlin approaches, Feyre’s hollowness and nightmares consume her. She finds herself split into two different people: one who upholds her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court, and one who lives out her life in the Spring Court with Tamlin. While Feyre navigates a dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms. She might just be the key to stopping it, but only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future—and the future of a world in turmoil.
Bestselling author Sarah J. Maas’s masterful storytelling brings this second book in her dazzling, sexy, action-packed series to new heights.
REVIEW: *Spolier Alert* There will probably be some spoilers for ACOTAR in this review. I'm super disappointed in Tamlin for all of his shenanigans. I know he feels like he's trying to protect her but this love is toxic and poison. Rhysand has truly become a character that I love. He's broken and honest and loves Feyre in a way that is open and freeing, allowing her to be who she really is. I have never been more heartbroken than when she says maybe she just fell in love with the first one to show her kindness. Getting to visit all the other courts would have been incredible all on it's own but also getting to see the differences in fashion and foods made for fantastic world building. Meeting and learning about Rhysand's inner circle was an absolute joy. The way they take Feyre into their lives and swear to protect her speaks to how loving and kind they are. I need Mor to be my new bestie. My heart broke and there were many tears. Then the twist!!! It was almost too much for my heart to take. I can't wait to read the next book in the series! Another 5 out of 5 from me for this series.
