REVIEW: I was introduced to the show Outlander last summer and have been hooked since the first second. I binged all the season and made sure to get the Starz network so I could stay up with the new ones, but I had never read any of the books. When I worked in my local book store, I had several customers who were avid Outlander readers and would always tell me I had to read them. I finally followed their advice and read the first book in the series and it was incredible. I was really impressed with the dialogue and the historical references. I can't imagine the research that must have gone into a book like this. The back and forth between Claire and Jamie is everything from delightful, to heartfelt, to heartbreaking at times. Having watched the show first I was also pleased to see that there wasn't much left out from the first book. It's mostly all there and mostly all spot on with the novel. I will definitely be putting the rest of the series in it's entirety in my TBR pile.
